Final All Afrika Expedition Dispatch– Mission Accomplished
Great news for the All Afrika expedition – It’s MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Hard to believe but a great feeling. Not easy, especially this last Equatorial Guinea leg, only made possible by the support of Ignicious Matloga, our acting South African Ambassador in oil-rich Malabo.
In our final All Afrika country we succeeded in circumnavigating Bioko Island by road and exploring Bata and the rainforested mainland of Rio Muni. Meanwhile, Ross Holgate and his team of intrepids, in another great adventure aptly called the ‘Return Dash’, race the Land Rover 130 back from the heart of the Congo basin through Cameroon, Chad, Niger, Burkina Faso to Accra Ghana in the steaming Gulf of Guinea – congratulations to the team for being part of a world-first odyssey to complete every county in Africa and for improving and saving lives through your support for the continued UAM and Rite to Sight expedition work – you can be proud!
And so as the adrenalin drains from our bodies, we say Siyabonga, Asante Sana, Bon Courage, Meda Ase, Ferehina Foaré, Brigod, Akpay and a Big Thank You to all of you that supported this adventure to improve and save lives – we could not have done it without you – till the next one!
Cheers,
Kingsley, Ross, Mashozi and the All Afrika Team
